Fancy Francy is advice for fashion and life from the viewpoint of someone in their twenty's, but is applicable to people in all age groups. I see Fancy-Francy.com as more of an online magazine than a personal style blog, meaning the focus isn’t so much on me as it is about helping my reader’s. As I figure out the “how’s in life” I hope to share with my readers “how to's “and “what to wear”. This site is mostly about fashion and style but also will touch on everything from finding your first apartment to how to cook your own meals to save money on eating out. I want this site to be as interactive as possible so I love when people write in questions for me to answer! If you have any questions or situations you would like advice on please feel free to contact me!
I’ve wanted to start a blog for a long time now, however; Fancy-Francy.com was just officially launched earlier this month! Fancy Francy has existed in some form since 2010 as a personal lifestyle and fashion blog but I stopped blogging for a while and relaunched it under a new direction in April 2012. Now felt like the perfect time to relaunch my site since I am preparing to graduate from college, and arranging to move from Atlanta to New York City.

About FrancyEver since I can remember I have had a love for fashion and a desire to help people look their best. I’ve always been an artistic person, and clothing is one of my favorite mediums. I’m inspired by everything from smooth jazz (which my friends like to joke and call elevator music) to people watching in coffee shops in the city. I have had the opportunity to work at several fashion internships over the course of my time in college; including working as a buyer/planner intern for Macy’s Corporate in New York City and as a fashion P.R intern for Bloomingdale’s. Currently I have decided to focus on channeling my expertise, experience, and advice in the field of fashion into my site, "Fancy-Francy.com." I love having this opportunity to combine my passion for writing, fashion, and giving advice; along with my business acumen, to provide interesting content for my readers.
I would like to think of my style as “not forced and willing to take risks” meaning I wear what I think is flattering on me. I like to focus on dressing for what fit’s my frame (I’m somewhat petite and only 5’4). Most importantly, I believe in wearing what makes me feel good. I love neutrals such as navy, white, gray, and brown. I believe that no matter what you wear, if you’re confident and feel good then your going to radiate that and look good as well. I also try not to be overly trendy. Although I do discuss trends in my weekly feature “what’s trending” I still make sure to pick and choose which trends I want to follow. My style words to live by are “I never think of myself as an icon, I just do my thing”- Audrey Hepburn. |
